VEXUVIUS project- Day 4: The axle mesh PDF Print E-mail

Okay were not going to make a overkill polygon unlike the wheels I just made, A simple but “tricked looks” axle sufficient for the game code to process the movement of the axle parallel to the wheel. The axle will be slotted with steering knuckle, disc brake caliper and drive shaft but I have to keep it within 500 vertices/face count. Here I just built a few object such as low poly rods, some circles, tubes, few rectangular stuff and a reference book of axle picture to make sure I don’t built a scary piece of hardware. Even its low poly the later texturing process will hide the rough edges some ugly flaws via shadowing process.
